Decommissioning

At Wellsafe, we have developed an extensive skillset focussed on integrity assessment and management through to the ultimate decommissioning of both downhole and surface infrastructure. We provide our clients with long-term strategic advice for establishing a risk-based approach to asset integrity management, leading to the development, implementation and management of these systems. Personal safety and protection of the environment are paramount to our approach to the decommissioning process.

Having managed many highly complex situations in often extremely challenging environments, our team members have a vast repository of technical expertise blended with real world practical experience. We manage complete end-to-end incident investigations, failure analysis and close-out reporting, and provide full support for our clients’ remedial action plans. 

Our in-depth technical knowledge is perfectly complemented by supporting functions in HSEQ and commercial disciplines, and we excel in the development and publishing of fit-for-purpose management plans and other requirements to legislative, regulatory and industry bodies. Our experienced and industry-respected personnel are also able to professionally undertake expert third-party technical reviews to support investment decisions.

Project delivery

Our diverse industry experience includes activities throughout the entire well lifecycle, from seismic acquisition and construction of well pads, leases and roads to drilling, completion, well stimulation, production, maintenance and final asset decommissioning and abandonment.
